LOVE

Small World

As we were cleaning up after the reception, Sheryl's father in law called me over.

Who's your dad?
---Tuitoto
Tuitoto?
---Yes
Tuitoto and I were best friends in high school!
---Wait, really?
Yes! At Mapusaga! I was wondering why you seem so familiar. The things you say, the way you act- I kept thinking I knew you. Now I know! You're just like your dad.
---Thank you :)
I can't believe it. We were best friends!

Small world, right?
He went on to ask where my dad was.
I told him he passed away, but that he was still here :)

The following day was Father's Day so before they left he called me over, gave me a hug and whispered, "Your dad is here. Happy Father's Day"

Yeah- I just about cried.

Mr. & Mrs. Lesa

Long time, no blog! Time to play catch up.

On June 16th my best friend, Sheryl, was sealed for time and all eternity to Kenape, in the San Diego Temple. It's such an incredibly beautiful place & I couldn't be any more happy for her! Sheryl deserves all the best and more....she definitely got it....and more. Love!

As Thursday rolled around, it hit me. My best friend was getting married. We weren't joking around, this was for real. Wait....what?! Yeah. On Friday after work, I showed up at the chapel where they were finishing everything for the reception & I just about wanted to bawl my eyes out haha.

We had all the girls at the house for a sleepover and I felt so bad.....I knocked out by 12:30- couldn't hang with the bride. Asleep before the bride and awake after the bride. Total fail. By the time we got down to San Diego I was ready to pass out again haha.

Anyways, my best friend is married now! She was such a beautiful bride. I'll admit it was weird to see her in a white dress....a wedding dress. Ahhhhh! Gorgeous!

Even though I didn't get to be inside for their sealing, I did get to enjoy their ring ceremony. It was simple and sweet. I shed my fair share of tears. Bishop Johnson shared some questions he asked them and the answers they each gave. It was the sweetest thing. There's just something about seeing your best friend's husband crying as he looked into her eyes. Mushy? No. Beautiful.

And the reception? Loved every minute of it! It was upbeat and full of love from family & friends. Junior (best man) and I had to give a toast. We went back and forth that whole day and the night before telling each other to do it. Nothing. But by the time we gave our toast, it all fell together. Yes, I lost it. Not even 2 seconds in and I just stood there crying like an idiot while everyone waited haha.

It was a long weekend worth every single minute.

I wish Sheryl and Nape all the best on their journey together. I absolutely love and adore them! Love love and more love!

By the time Sunday morning rolled around, I wasn't sure I was alive haha. Nape called & when he asked how I was feeling? "If I drank, I'm pretty sure this is how it feels to be hungover"

Good times :)

Btw- if you like the little preview of pics here....let me know! They were taken by our family friend, Piper, who took pictures of this amazing day!

Happy Independence Day!

I hope you all take the time to reflect and honor the brave men and women who have (and are) serving our country. We live in a beautiful country. Remember, home of the free because of the brave!
