I Miss This

Tonight I'm babysitting for a family I've never met. They're from the east coast & have four year old twins- the greatest! They were so fun and full of energy. We "played"Candyland, finished a puzzle, "played" Jenga (aka built buildings, boardwalks, houses, etc), colored with the princess & dinosaur crayons I bought them (Olivia liked eating the crayons more), watched movies & told bedtime stories. This was my favorite!

I decided to try something different. As I told their bedtime story if I touched my nose, Jack got to make up the next line & if I touched my ear, Olivia got to make up a line for our story. Now this.....THIS was a hit! Their imaginations are hilarious. They had so much fun coming up with their very own bedtime story and I loved watching their faces light up over dragons, candyland, bunnies, whales, polar bears and a whole lot more. Easily one of the cutest things to watch.

I just went in to check on them for the third time lol. I'm sitting here and thinking about how much I miss babysitting. I miss playing kid games. I miss hearing their excuses. I miss having them jump in my lap giving me hugs & squeezes. I've missed this feeling.

I miss all the kids I used to babysit. The first kid I ever babysat is now ten years old and in my Primary class. I feel so old! I also kept calling Olivia, Claire, tonight because I used to babysit another set of twins named Jack & Claire. It felt like this is what they're like now and I miss it/them! Guess what? I get to babysit for someone else tomorrow. It's my lucky weekend! :)

Four?

Olivia shared with me that her FAAAAVORITE food is sushi!

She's only four.
What four year old even knows what sushi is?
Let alone likes it?
